Today was drop off day

Wow, I could not believe the wonderful amount of food donations collected for the Goddard Forest Hill School "Souper Bowl" fundraiser. We packed and loaded the donations this morning with the help of my husband, Bernie, my co-teachcr Sarah, my young friend Ava and her Mom, Jenn. Thank you so much for helping with this task. After unloading and putting the donations into the food pantry, Ava was given a tour by Mrs. Heather and she explained what they do, where the food is stored and how it is distributed. I took some wonderful pictures, so check out the slideshow below. Next, we went over to visit the Thrift Shop and the wonderful ladies explained to Ava how they collect donations of clothes, shoes and other items that are available for those in need. These two places provide such a blessed ministry to so many and cannot be provided without the help of those who volunteer. Thank you all so much for your time in helping a young child understand and see how these donations help so many.
